An Oldie But A Greatie

With some people spending more money monthly on gas than their actual car payment, there's been more interest in hyrbids lately. But just to remind ya'll hybrids didn't just pop on the scene..and also to prove that hyrbids could have supermodel looks, here's a blast from the past concept from Citroen.

Their 2006 C-Metisse concept car was poised to average about 40mpg in mixed driving. I have a feeling they'd even sell a few if it got 5mpg.

It Just Needs Rims And A Drop

Move over Smart Fortwo...Here's the Xebra MSRP $11,700.

Top speed- 40mph

Range- up to 25 miles per charge

Fuel cost? About $20 per month for electricity. Which actually leaves you plenty of money left over to 'cab' it on the days you don't want to be seen in this thing.

Just Mow 150,000 Lawns And It's Yours

We first saw the Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT at SEMA and I gotta say, no picture does this car justice compared to seeing it in the sheetmetal. Now here's your chance to own one. Exotic Motorcars has one for sale on autotrader. Just do a search for 'Gemballa' and you'll see the ad. Asking price?  $1.18 million.  Part Time Job anyone?

New Skin

BMW's Gina Concept introduces a new way of thinking about the exterior materials of the automobile. Instead of plastics and sheetmetal, the entire shell is covered in weather proof and flexible fabric stretched over metal and carbon fiber frame. So when it's dirty, instead of washing it....do you use a lint roller?

Mazda gives RX-8 Owners an Early Xmas present

Mazda Motor Corporation is extending the warranty coverage on Rotary Engine Core, Rotary housing and internal parts, internal seals and gaskets on all 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 model year RX-8 vehicles. The warranty coverage for the Rotary Engine Core Components is extended to 8 years (96 months) from the original warranty start date, with a 100,000 mileage limitation. Combine that with very weak resell values...might be time to pick up a used 8 on the cheap?

Rieger Front Bumper

This front end has been around for some time now, but I like it so much that I had to post up a pic.....and it stays relevant because nobody else has come up with one that is cooler if you own a 3 series.

Lexus LF-A Won't be Just a Pipe Dream

Looks like this car may make it past the concept stage.

Word has it that it will have a hefty price tag ($200k) and will be a world beater. Only problem? A Nissan has already taken the 'world beater' designation and that car is only $70k.

We'll have to be patient as to finding out what Lexus has in mind to justify the big baller price.
